HOW TO APPLY

The Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum can be applied in the morning and/ or evening:

  1. Thoroughly cleanse your skin.
  2. Moisten your skin with water or a mild toner such as rose water. The oil serum should be applied onto slightly damp skin, enabling it to best soak into your skin.
  3. Now apply 4 to 5 drops of the oil serum onto your damp skin.
  4. Massage the oil serum gently into your skin. After just a few minutes, the oil serum has completely soaked into the skin. Enjoy your silky-smooth and glowing skin!

Tip: You can also use the Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum as an active-ingredient booster. Just add a few drops of the oil serum to your favourite skincare product.

FAQ

When is the best time to use The Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum?

Ideally, our Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum should be applied in the morning, as the vitamin C tetra contained within the serum has been proven to protect the skin from UV radiation*. The oil serum also contains powerful adaptogens and antioxidants that protect the skin from blue light, making our Vitamin C Oil Serum the ideal everyday companion.

In which step of my beauty routine do I use The Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum?

Our Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil serum is best applied after toner and water-based serums, such as a hyaluronic acid serum. This allows the oil serum to optimally lock in the moisture previously added. No cream needs to be used afterwards, as the squalane contained in the serum is rich and nourishing but doesn’t weigh the skin down.

Is The Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes! Our Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum is ideal for sensitive skin because it is mildly formulated and contains no alcohol, preservatives, fragrances, essential oils or other potentially irritating ingredients. The ingredients used have been proven to strengthen the skin barrier, protecting and soothing sensitive skin. In addition, vitamin C tetra is exceptionally well tolerated and does not irritate the skin, as is often the case with ascorbic acid, also known as pure vitamin C.

ruhi TIP: We always recommend that you test a new skincare product on a small area of your skin before adding it to your skincare routine. This way, you can easily rule out an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients.

Why do you use a clear bottle for The Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum?

Unlike pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and other derivatives, the vitamin C tetra we use in our formula is one of the most stable forms of vitamin C and is perfectly able to withstand changes in temperature and oxidation levels.

Scientific studies have shown that vitamin C tetra is even stable up to 250°C (!)**. Therefore, we can use a transparent bottle without any problems (unlike ascorbic acid, which is very sensitive to oxidation and should only be filled in amber glass).

Why does The Adaptogen Vitamin C Oil Serum cost more than the other serums?

Vitamin C tetra is an innovative, oil-soluble vitamin C derivative that comes at a much higher price point than ascorbic acid, which is affordable and straightforward to source. We also use a high concentration (15%) of vitamin C tetra. Therefore, the pure product price of our vitamin C serum is higher—especially compared to other products that often contain only 1% of the active ingredient.
